Wemba ApS takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy describes what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

We collect: (a) contact information (name, email, phone) provided when signing up or contacting us; (b) account and usage data generated when using the platform; (c) payment information processed via our payment providers (we do not store full card details); (d) technical data such as IP address, browser type, and cookies for analytics and security.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your data to: (a) provide and improve the platform — legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); (b) comply with legal obligations such as accounting rules — legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)); (c) send relevant updates or marketing with your consent — legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); (d) pursue legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention and IT security — legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Sharing of Data

We share data only where necessary: with payment providers (MobilePay, Stripe) for payment processing; with cloud infrastructure providers (servers located in the EU/EEA); with analytics providers (Google Analytics, with IP anonymisation enabled). We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

We retain data as long as required for the purposes above or as required by law. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure. Accounting records are kept for 5 years per the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Bogføringsloven).

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion ('right to be forgotten') where no legal basis applies; object to processing based on legitimate interests; data portability; withdraw consent at any time.
